Who better to drag Tonio out of semi-retirement than the band with whom he made his professional debut? On Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, Tonio appeared as a special guest of The Crickets. He and Peter Case performed their version of "Not Fade Away," which appears on the new Crickets release, The Crickets and Their Buddies. It may not sound like much, but it was Tonio on stage.
